These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of zbookmarks (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

You must be legally able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Accounts and authentication

You may need an account to use certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly.

4. Your content and actions

The Service lets you create and manage content such as lists, bookmarks, notes, and profile information (collectively, “User Content”), and interact with others (e.g. likes, saves, upvotes/downvotes, follows, and reports).

You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting/technical reasons), and display your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service, including making public lists and profile information available to others when you choose to publish them.

5. Public vs private

You control whether a list is public or private. Public lists and public profile information can be accessed by other users and visitors, and may be indexed, shared, or redistributed by others.

6. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for illegal, harmful, or abusive activity.
• Post, share, or distribute content that infringes intellectual property rights.
• Harass, threaten, impersonate, or dox others.
• Upload malware or attempt to disrupt or overload the Service.
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data at scale without our permission (including public data).
• Attempt to bypass access controls or exploit vulnerabilities.

7. Reports and moderation

Users may report lists or bookmarks for review. We may review reports and take action we consider appropriate, including removing content, limiting visibility, or suspending or terminating accounts.

8. Third‑party links and content

Bookmarks point to third‑party websites. We do not control third‑party content and are not responsible for it. Visiting external links is at your own risk.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks or branding.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. You can delete your account from Settings.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
